Offer: Traffic Manager I, WGCU:WGCU-FMJob description: Traffic Manager I, WGCU Listing description Traffic Manager I, WGCU Job Summary The Traffic Manager I prepares everyday traffic and automation logs for WGCU-FM, its HD multicast stations, and connected digital web streams. WGCU is Southwest Florida's source for PBS and NPR. A member-supported service of Florida Gulf Coast University, WGCU provides educational programming that inspires, informs and engages our community. Serving all or part of 12 counties in south and Southwest Florida, with five distinct digital TV channels, two FM radio channels, two HD radio channels, and multiple websites, WGCU delivers national and international programming, and develops, produces and delivers significant, informative and educational local programs to the region. Job Description Typical tasks may include but are not limited to: • Distributes production schedules or work orders to departments. • Reviews documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or material requirements and priorities. • Manages radio inventory database system to ensure sponsorship spots are scheduled properly and as ordered to ensure fulfillment of financial commitments. Report on any discrepancies and makegoods on a everyday basis to ensure goals are met. • Work with the traffic software system to meet industry and station standards related to category and client separation, fair rotations, and best use of unsold inventory for impact, continuity, and overall sound. • Creates the everyday traffic and automation logs for WGCU-FM, its HD multicast stations, and connected digital web streams. • Collaborates with sales, production, and finance departments to resolve problems. • Clarifies, diagnoses, reports and provides resolutions to resolve internal and external technical problems. • Provide reports related to inventory management, financial projections, and category and daypart revenues. Other tasks: • Performs other job-related tasks as assigned. • Assists and provides backup for the Television Traffic Manager. Additional Job Description Required Appropriate qualifications: • This position requires a high school diploma and two years of full-time practice directly related to the job functions. • Full-time practice in radio and/or television traffic. • practice operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, • Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook). • Any appropriate combination of significant education, practice, and/or certifications may be considered. Preferred Appropriate qualifications: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Communication, Broadcasting, or closely related field. • Previous practice utilizing public radio and television content delivery systems. • expertise of Adobe Audition or audio editing software. • expertise of ProTrack, Wide Orbit, Marketron, or equivalent broadcast traffic software. expertise, expertise & Abilities: • Working expertise of radio and television automation systems. • expertise of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite. • expertise of new digital platforms that support public media content. • expertise of television traffic and programming operating systems and workflows. • expertise of WGCU, FGCU, and FCC standards, rules, and regulations. • Strong organizational expertise and an capability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines. • Skilled at inventory management, proactively working logs to maximize revenue, placement, and continuity. • capability to thrive in an organization that values the diversity of its student body and workforce and actively promotes an equitable environment. • capability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files and reports. • capability to think analytically and logically and motivated to incorporate best practices into work processes. • capability to work independently and follow through on assignments. • capability to adapt quickly to changing situations, environments, and technologies. • capability to work positively and efficiently under pressure while meeting close deadlines.
