Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill multiple part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Outreach adjunct positions for the Ag Experiment Station at Oregon State University (OSU). The long-term goal of this summer camp is to combine arts and science to improve children's health through innovative nutrition education. The outreach adjunct will work with a multidisciplinary team to co-design and implement a 1-week summer camp through Kid Spirit. Beginning work hours will be 2-4 hours per week, including training time. During August 12-16, 2024, the USOA is required to attend the summer camp everyday during 9 am - 1:30 pm at the OSU Corvallis Campus. Post-summer camp, the outreach adjunct will participate in data entry and program evaluation. Anticipated Hourly Wage: $15.00 Position tasks » Complete CITI human research ethics certification by July 8, 2024. » Start weekly hybrid training (about an hour) during July 15 - August 9, 2024. » Attend a half-day training in person at OSU Corvallis campus on August 5, 2024 from 8 am to 12:30 pm. » Observe Kid Spirit camp during the week of August 6-9, 2024. » Attend a final check-in team meeting on August 9, 2024 at 9-10 am. » Co-deliver a Kid Spirit Camp during August 12-16, 2024 from 9 am to 1:30 pm each day. Attend a team debrief at the end of each everyday session. » Observe and collect data from assigned children. For examples, record individual children's level of engagement in learning activities, their changes in nutrition and art expertise, expertise and attitude, food behavior and/or attitude.
