Job Summary The Student Success Center in the College of Health is seeking a Scholarship Program Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.

The Scholarship Program Coordinator administers undergraduate and graduate scholarship programs within the COH (College of Health) making equitable and sound decisions in support of COH's diverse student, donor, and college population. This position supervises the entire lifecycle of scholarships, from review and selection to disbursement and stewardship. The coordinator supports and collaborates with scholarship reviewers, manages scholarship processing, and communicates effectively with donors, students, and other university stakeholders. Additionally, the function maintains scholarship-related communications and data tracking to optimize scholarship fund utilization. This position is instrumental in engaging with historically underserved populations and substantially contributes to the College of Health's commitment to inclusive excellence.

Key Responsibilities 80% Scholarship Administration
   » Administers COH undergraduate and graduate scholarship programs pursuant to scholarship fund gift agreements.
   » Leads the review and selection processes connected with scholarships for COH undergraduate and graduate scholarship programs.
   » Provides training and technical support for COH reviewers working with the scholarship management system (currently ScholarshipUniverse).
   » Manages processing and disbursement of scholarship decisions on a term-by-term basis.
   » supervises student thank you letters to donors and coordinates college correspondence to donors.
   » Assists colleagues with stewardship initiatives related to scholarship awards.
   » Reviews and resolves scholarship award disbursement holds and errors.
   » Develops and implements a communications plan in collaboration with the college marketing and communications team related to COH scholarship promotion and awarding.
   » Maintains a current college scholarship website in collaboration with the college marketing and communications team ensuring outreach to underserved populations.
   » Tracks data and develops reports related to scholarship utilization to optimize strategic use of scholarship funds.
   » Maintains scholarship expenditure and projection tracking to ensure accurate awarding and usage of scholarship funds.
   » Coordinates and contacts with OSU Scholarship Office, OSU Financial Aid Office, OSU Graduate School, and other OSU stakeholders, including OSU Foundation to maintain scholarship awards, agreements, and relations.
   » Responds to scholarship-related inquiries received from students, faculty, and other internal and external stakeholders.
   » Maintain, update, and communicate information about external scholarships available to students in the College of Health.
   » Management of graduate student awards administered in partnership with the Graduate School, which includes in-depth expertise of award opportunities, communication with students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders, coordination and facilitation of COH nominations, adherence to Graduate School deadlines, and internal tracking and management of award information.
   » Works with the ADSSW and other College stakeholders to develop and administer new scholarship initiatives for undergraduate and graduate students, interpreting scholarship gift agreements and university policies to bolster student recruitment and retention efforts.
   » Coordinate the College Experiential Learning Scholarship to support dissemination of the opportunity, organization of the review, and collection of student practice with the scholarship each term.
   » Develop and maintain expertise and databases of external scholarships opportunities significant to College of Health Students
   » Develop scholarship related informational meetings for students in the College of Education.

15% Special Projects
   » Creates and maintains budget spreadsheets and prepares reports connected with gifts and other designated spending in the OSS and the COH
   » Provides logistical support with events connected with the COH and the OSS such as START student orientation sessions, recruitment events, and student programming (e.g., OSU Welcome, COH graduation celebration, CATALYST Mentoring end-of-year celebration).

5% Professional Development & Other tasks as Assigned
   » Attends training and professional development.
   » Carries out other tasks as assigned by the ADSSW.

   » Bachelor's degree AND one year of practice managing scholarships, interpretations of contracts, managing budgets or financial gifts OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional practice significant to the position.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
