Job Summary The College of Science is seeking a Project and Events Manager. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.

The College of Science is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project and Events Manager to lead, implement and manage College of Science events and special projects for the Dean. this function is vital to advancing the College's mission by ensuring events and projects are executed with precision, creativity and strategic alignment.

In this function, the Manager will lead cross-functional efforts, coordinating with various College units to ensure prosperous execution of initiatives that enhance the Dean's Office's capability to achieve strategic goals. This includes managing timelines, budgets and resources to deliver high-quality results.

The Manager will lead the planning, management and execution of College of Science signature events, working with the Marketing team to achieve timely, effective promotion. They will ensure that logistics and communications are well-managed to support the College's outreach and engagement. By executing these events and initiatives, the Manager will contribute to the College's mission and foster a strong sense of community among faculty, students, alumni and partners.

They will also lead projects involving data collection and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with internal and external partners. The Manager will ensure effective communication and collaboration among all parties involved. They will work closely with the Dean, Associate Deans, Director of Marketing and Communications and Executive adjunct.

The Project and Events Manager is a Professional Faculty position, offering the opportunity to contribute to the College's success through innovative event management and strategic leadership abilities.

What You Will Need
   » Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and practice.
   » Minimum of 5 years of event management practice, including planning, promotion, execution and assessment.
   » Proven capability to take projects from conception to execution, with strong organizational expertise and the capacity to work independently.
   » capability to manage multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
   » Strong decision-making, leadership abilities and critical thinking expertise, with the capability to develop practical strategies and solutions.
   » Strong verbal and written communication expertise, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly.
   » Demonstrated success and availability to participate in a team environment and collaborate effectively with faculty, administrators, senior leaders and stakeholders.
   » Demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing equity, access and inclusion.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Working Conditions / Work Schedule This is a typical 40-hour office job with some remote work flexibility. Physical demands include occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs). While standard hours are expected, occasional evening or weekend work will be required at times. Travel for meetings, conferences, or events will seldom be necessary.
