Job tasks

tasks & Job responsibilities: Coordinates the activities of student workers and volunteers in the laboratory, greenhouse, and headhouse. Supervises, interviews, and hires student, temp, graduate students working in Greenhouse.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Cleans glassware and other laboratory equipment or materials using appropriate standards; keeps laboratory, greenhouse, and headhouse area clean. Monitors and maintains inventory of laboratory supplies, orders necessary supplies.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Supports faculty with preparation on field research samples before and after travel.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Maintains detailed records of controlled substances in the laboratory; packages waste material and arranges for disposal according to established procedures. Completes Hazard Waste trainings and certification. Responsible for storing/removing Hazard Waste & Materials.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Coordinates capital projects such as renovations to EH & LS Shared Labs, & Greenhouses.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Compiles data and assists in routine preliminary analyses; maintains research data in laboratory notebook, writes summary reports and reports findings to investigator.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Organizes supplies, materials or equipment and sets-up equipment for laboratory experiments or demonstrations; performs minor equipment maintenance. Supervises operation of the research and teaching greenhouses, advising and assisting faculty in the care of experimental organisms as needed. Maintains plant collections which includes planting, fertilizing, propagating and harvesting; performs routine experiments and analyses, as requested.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Coordinates relationships with vendors regarding service contracts and repairs for lab equipment. Responsible for package and mail delivery. Sets up for Seminars and Graduate events. Maintains departmental vehicle Maintenance.
