The ideal candidate should also be interested in innovative and concept-driven solutions and working in a small growing studio. Projects range from cultural buildings, institutional proposals, a remote island residence, and an artist's studio and residence. We are seeking for an architect with practice in all phases to assist in leading specifically the Design Development, CD, and CA phases. Your function will be to lead the production of all necessary documents, drawings, models, and images related to the architectural process and to coordinate with project consultants. The ideal candidate should be interested in joining a small firm and participating in its growth. Exceptional candidates with varying levels of practice will be considered. Hybrid / in-person and part-time work can be considered. ARCHITECT » Professional or Graduate Degree in Architecture » 5-8+ years of practice working in an architecture office » Strong conceptual, graphic, and design expertise illustrated in a comprehensive portfolio » Strong AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite expertise » Strong rendering expertise, preferably Vray » practice working on complex projects in all phases » Confidence moving a project forward independently » Fluency in spoken and written English » capability to assist in the production and development of all necessary documents, drawings, models, images, schemes, etc. related to the design and building process » practice working in construction documentation phases, technical detailing, schedules, project-related material research, and complex problem solving on all scales » Fundamental knowledge of the design process and the capability to create great architectural designs and translate these into real building projects » capability to contact with consultants to assess design solutions and guarantee the integrity of the final design » Good interpersonal and communication expertise, and the capability to work well in a team About DVLPR DVLPR (pronounced ‘developer’)is a research-located design studiocommitted to a proactive function for design practices located in New York City and founded in 2013 by David Andrew Tasman. Most recently, the studio completedcommission for the exhibition Emerging Ecologies: Architecture and the Rise of Environmentalism at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), a TV studio / store for TELFAR's residency at Selfridges' Corner Shop in London, and a project for artist Timur Si-Qin at the newly-opened Meta headquarters in New York. The studio’s portfolio encompasses a wide variety of cultural, institutional, and commercial projects including exhibition design, support for artists, scenography, and activism. DVLPR works regularly at the intersection of art and architecture and has realized significant cultural projects with artists and institutions such as Kevin Beasley at the Whitney Museum of American Art and Cady Noland at the Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt. With Kevin Beasley, Tasman collaborated on the design ofA view of a landscape: A cotton gin motor, 2012-2018, which was named by ARTnews as one of the most important artworks of the 2010s. For several years culminating in 2022, the studio worked in close collaboration with Sub studio in Berlin on the worldwide rebranding of Balenciaga's architectural campaign and scenography for Paris Fashion Week. Tasman is a member of the citygroup collective, a past winner of The Architectural League's League Prize in 2022, and theAIA’s 2020 New Practices New York.
