Operations Staff:
   » Communicate effectively with guests, staff, students, and university faculty.
   » Properly, effectively, and efficiently conduct room setups, provide equipment and other needs as stated in the Room and Event Scheduling Software (RESS).
   » Clean and maintain equipment and storage closets.
   » In the event of additions or changes to events or setups, assist the manager in facilitating guests' immediate needs.
   » At events in the absence of the manager, staff will be expected to simply assist the client - providing directions to guests, setting up additional chairs, etc.

Building Attendant Staff:
   » Ensure equipment is clean and tidy prior to events in the Setzer Student Center (SSC).
   » Within the SSC: unlock meeting rooms, greet clients upon arrival, and ensure that their needs are met.
   » Communicate effectively with guests, staff, students, and university faculty.
   » prosperously enforce Setzer Student Center and University policies
   » Responsible for the security of all Setzer Student Center areas and equipment while on duty, including keys, radios, and phones - reporting security issues to University Police as necessary
   » Properly, effectively, and efficiently conduct room and simple AV setups, provide equipment and other needs as stated in the Room and Event Scheduling Software (RESS).
   » Expected to submit detailed shift logs with brief explanation of all activities that take place, including equipment that was set up for an event and any issues or concerns that arose.
   » Represent the Setzer Student Center and the University in a professional manner.
   » Keep setup equipment organized in all storage areas.
Support Staff:
   » Clean and repair meeting and lounge furniture, as needed.
   » Ensure cleanliness of meeting and event spaces, as assigned. When needed, sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floors; clean windows and whiteboards; etc.
   » Wash, dry, fold, and re-hang table linens, as needed.
   » Provide oversight of all operations of the Setzer Student Center game room(s) during scheduled hours
   » Expected to prosperously enforce Setzer Student Center and University policies
   » Staff shall be expertiseable about the services and equipment offered.
   » Maintain inventory and track usage of the space and equipment.
   » Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional appearance to the space(s)
Audio-Visual Staff:
   » Properly, effectively, and efficiently conduct Audio-Visual (AV) setups, provide equipment and other needs as stated in the Room and Event Scheduling Software (RESS).
   » expertise, or availability to learn, of the operation and the capabilities of our AV equipment, portable and built-in, across campus.
   » Check organization of all audio/technical equipment and storage facilities, and presentation of the facilities - expected to clean and maintain equipment and storage closets, as necessary.
   » Execute the proper setup of AV equipment for events as assigned, ensuring setup is clean, tidy, and in proper working condition prior to all events.
   » Operate built-in AV systems in the Live Oak Ballroom, meeting rooms, Setzer Student Center (SSC) Food Court, and Sheila Umphrey Recreational Sports Center (SURC) during assigned events.
   » Execute pickup of equipment, ensuring upon pickup that all equipment is accounted for and in working condition.
   » Responsible for the security of all Setzer Student Center areas and equipment while on duty, including keys, radios, and phones - reporting security issues to University Police, as necessary.
   » prosperously enforce Setzer Student Center and University policies.
   » Submit detailed shift logs with an explanation of all activities that take place, including equipment that was set up for an event and any issues or concerns that arose.
Minimum Appropriate qualifications:
   » capability to execute all job tasks and responsibilities as outlined
   » Work with speed and efficiency
   » Have effective customer service expertise
   » Must be able to work autonomously with little direction
   » Able to work both alone and in a team
   » Effective verbal communication expertise
   » capability to follow written and verbal instructions
   » Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
   » Must be in good standing with the University
Physical Requirements:
   » Must be able to lift, move or hold 50 or more pounds
   » Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, both in and outdoors
Certifications Required: None

Work Hours: Typically 12, but no more than 19.5 hours per week
Job Conditions: Must be prepared to execute physical work both in and outdoors, across campus

Additional Instructions for candidates: Selection: This is a pooled application, please review the job tasks for each position. If prosperous through the interview, candidates will be hired located on expertise demonstrated during their interview and the position they indicated on their application.

Interviews: Interviews will begin in June, as availcapability allows. Applications will be reviewed periodically, and qualified candidates will receive an email to schedule a 30-minute interview. Unfortunately, due to the number of applications received, we are unable to interview every applicant.

Training: prosperous candidates should be prepared to return to campus for training as early as August 7th. Arrangements will be made for those living on-campus. More information and an exact schedule will be provided upon offering the position.

Duration of Work: prosperous candidates should be prepared to for regularly scheduled work from August 17th through Dec 7th.
