This position functions in an office environment within a technologically oriented academic research library. Position includes a public service component requiring regular interaction with the general public. Requires ease with face-to-face, telephone, and/or online communications. Position requires some standing, walking and reaching. Incumbent must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds. Responsibilities may require that the incumbent push and /or pull wheeled book trucks weighing up to 300 lbs. Position requires vision that will support close detailed work.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
May need to work/travel beyond normal work schedule

Working Conditions: While performing the tasks of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Assists with planning and implementing activities relate to innovation and scholarly engagement
Assists with record keeping, preparation of reports and other documents

Updates University Libraries hours on the website and on search engines.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Posts events to Libraries Event Calenda, TigerZone & This Week.
Posts to Libraries social media pages as needed.
Updates events posted on Libraries home page.
Create slides for and maintain digital signage on the TV in the library rotunda.
Create advertisement images for on-campus magazines/newspaper.
Create/update event webpages.
Create digital media such as Power-Points, website/libguide banners, and other resource or service-related media.
Produces weekly and monthly internal newsletters.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Compiles special reports or studies where analysis of data is required; identifies sources and extracts necessary information; performs specialized calculations. Ensures that the Administrative Office Associate is trained with current equipment and software used for events/workshops. Ensures that the Administrative Office Associate can act as backup for creating digital media and entering posts to significant sites.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Maintains a variety of records, electronic or manual file systems, or database files requiring classification and compilation of varied information. Applies basic archival and conservation techniques in accessioning and processing items being added to or maintained to the Digital Commons. Assists in creating and maintaining the Digital Commons collections by providing continuity and consistency for the development, preservation, display, and access for the online collections. Creates metadata for objects being added to the Digital Commons.
