As the regions only academic OBGYN department, the primary functions of the department are to teach obstetrics and gynecology to medical students, resident physicians, post graduate students, nurses and other allied health professional, provide evidence-located and comprehensive clinical service to the region, and conduct clinical research featuring our rural mission. Job tasks ECU Brody School of Medicine's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative to work in its Brody Outpatient Center Clinic. The Patient Access Representative is needed for patient registration, appointment scheduling and medical reception in a busy, ambulatory care setting. The selected candidate will work, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, to ensure the patient's needs and operational standards are met. The employee should be highly organized and self motivated, have the capability to multitask and work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication expertise and the capability to interact effectively and professionally by telephone and in person with faculty, staff, residents, students, patients and the general public are necessary to prosperously perform the tasks of this position. CLINICAL SUPPORT POSITION - NOT SUBJECT TO STATE HUMAN RESOURCES ACT The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is affiliated with ECU Health Medical Center, which serves as it's teaching hospital, as well as the flagship hospital for ECU Health. ?Employment in this position provides eligibility to participate in the UNC Optional Retirement Program (ORP) which offers matching employer contributions and employee control of investment choices, along with eligibility to participate in various Voluntary Supplemental Retirement Plans (401k, 403b. 457).
