Work Schedule 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday
Telework may be available for 1 day per week after onboarding into position with manager approval.

Primary Purpose of Position The Office adjunct serves as the first point of contact for the department, and has the primary responsibility for maintaining student and enrollment records. The office adjunct also provides support to faculty, and manages the department's web page. He/she/they supervises scheduling for the department's History and General Education courses and sections. They will assist the Office Manager with budgeting and disbursements; perform inventory and ordering on a regular basis; and assist the Office Manager with travel authorizations and reimbursements. The person in this function will also be responsible for taking meeting minutes.

Minimum Education/practice Required Minimum Appropriate qualifications:

Graduation from high school; or an equivalent combination of education and practice.

University Preferred Appropriate qualifications:

Graduation from high school, or completion of its equivalency, and two years of office/clerical work practice; or an equivalent combination of training/practice.

Essential Job tasks
   » The Office adjunct serves as the first point of contact for the department and also has primary responsibility for maintaining student and enrollment records.
   » Provide support to faculty and manages the department's web page.
   » supervise scheduling for the department's History and General Education offerings.
   » Assist the Office Manager with budgeting and disbursements.
   » Build Fall, Spring, and Summer schedules for the department - coordinating with other units, as necessary.
   » Perform inventory and ordering on a regular basis.
   » Assist the Office Manager with travel authorizations and reimbursements.
Other Work Responsibilities
   » Respond to inquiries from faculty and students regarding policies, programs, and procedures.
   » Recommend and implement procedural changes to improve the quality of service delivery.
   » Draft and finalize meeting minutes.
   » Other tasks, as assigned.
Departmental Preferred practice, expertise, Training/Education
   » Associates Degree with at least two (2) years office practice is desired.
   » Excellent verbal and written communication expertise are essential.
   » practice working in Higher Education is preferred.
   » Knowledge of MS (Word and Excel), and Google Suite strongly preferred.
   » The capability to work with very careful attention to detail and deadlines is essential.
   » practice with Banner, and/or or similar University systems is desired.
   » practice with problem solving, and resourcefulness, are a plus.
   » capability to work independently, with a high level of professionalism, customer service orientation, and an knowledge of confidentiality is strongly preferred.
   » Strong attention to detail.
