Special Conditions: Federal regulations require that the incumbent be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident for certification as Designated School Official (DSO) in Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Job tasks

tasks & Job responsibilities: Coordinates campus activities to promote educational, cultural, and social programming for international student's development and retention; Develop retention strategies working cooperatively with faculty and other offices to complement the University's retention goals for international students.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Plans, manages and executes extracurricular activities and event programming to include International Orientation, International Night, OPT/CPT workshops, International Education Week, international festivals, and holidays.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Identifies International student needs, prioritizes needs and refers students to appropriate resources to meet identified needs.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Prepares correspondence and official letters to support visa applications, funding from international agencies and other forms necessary for international students transition to activities on / off campus.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Provides leadership abilities and oversight to the International Student Ambassador program, Tiger Family Program and the International Student Association. Maintains and updates the Center for International Education Services (CIES) and International Student Services website, Newsletter, Facebook and other social media sites, as necessary.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Supports the ISS office in responding to all inquiries sent to the International Student Services (ISS) group e-mail account.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Manages the social media pages for the Center's units and contribute to website updates. Completes purchases and reservations for all programmatic needs, while adhering to university purchasing guidelines.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Serves as Designated School Official (DSO) to provide back-up support for I-20 issuance and assist with travel validation.
