Minimum QualificationsAppropriate qualifications:»suitable education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or coursework in criminal justice or related field preferred. »practice: Previous practice in security, law enforcement, or military service preferred. »Licenses/Certifications: » Must have a valid North Carolina Driver's license. » CPR/First Aid certification preferred. » Must obtain state-required security certifications and licenses in Unarmed or Armed Security. » Must be able to complete approved firearms course yearly. »expertise and Abilities: » Strong observational and problem-solving expertise. » Excellent verbal and written communication expertise. » capability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. » expertise of security protocols and emergency response procedures. » Proficiency with security equipment and technology, such as surveillance cameras and alarm systems. Physical Requirements: » capability to walk or stand for extended periods. » capability to lift and carry up to [weight] pounds. » Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies, which may require running, climbing stairs, or other physical activities.

Position DescriptionThe Safety agent is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors at Davidson Davie-Community College. This position involves patrolling the campus, monitoring security systems, responding to emergencies, and enforcing campus policies. The Safety agent ensures the protection of property and individuals while promoting a positive and safe learning atmosphere.
