Dean for Nursing

September 17, 2024 Brooklyn Campus or Long Island Campus Nursing
St. Joseph’s University is seeking a Dean for Nursing to provide oversight for all undergraduate and graduate programs that are delivered on two campuses: Brooklyn, NY and Patchogue, NY. The programs, with over 500 students, include a traditional 4-year, BS, a RN-BS completion, and four graduate programs (Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP, Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology CNS and Nursing Education). The programs are ACEN accredited.
The Dean supports the vision/mission and goals of St. Joseph’s University and the Department of Nursing and serves as a liaison between nursing and other departments in the University. He/she prepares and administers the budgets for the department; strategically develops and implements nursing department initiatives; supervises student recruitment; evaluates faculty and staff in the department; serves on committees as determined by administration; monitors compliance with state, regional and accreditation organizations; provides leadership abilities for faculty development and has primary responsibility and oversight for the development of nursing courses/programs, course scheduling, registration, faculty orientation and agency contracts.

income range:  $130,000 - $160,000
