Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $17.00 (Standard); $16.50 (Non-Urban); $18.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) MU Building Services Help Desk adjunct position for the Memorial Union at Oregon State University (OSU). The MU is comprised of Building Services, Guest Services and Retail Food Service. This program is an integral part of the education practice of OSU students, assists in the retention of students, accommodates university service for faculty and staff, encourages involvement by alumni, and presents a positive image of Oregon state University to guest and visitors. The purpose of the position is to serve the Memorial Union in the position of Help Desk adjunct, working to coordinate everyday maintenance, repair and cleaning operations across 15 different campus buildings. Staff must be able to work autonomously using MU Policies and guidelines to make decisions and use prior practice, training and good judgement to problem solve. Excellent communication expertise, personal accountcapability and teamwork are essential to success in this position. Position tasks Information & Customer Service » Provide prompt and courteous customer service to staff and ?customers? in person, via telephone and email. » Refer customer requests and issues to correct resources in Building Services or MU Organization. » Assist in issuing keys to authorized staff and ?customers?, and collecting keys as directed. » Support and help celebrate staff successes, celebrations and building-services staff development. » Answer the phone, radio and Help Desk emails and forward messages that help plan and initiate action, be Information technology a Work Order, immediate on-scene staff response, or development of a new process. » Supporting the MU team and guests during emergencies. Administrative » Print, review and prepare building services meeting room schedules for next day. » Support package (UPS, FedEx, Platt, etc?) receipt log and deliver within the MU org. » Create and coordinate temporary signage as needed in support of Maintenance & Operations. » Performs routine office area cleaning, straightening and recycling. » Check and restock all office resources and supplies, including resources used at the counter and the paper bins/trays in our various office equipment. Communicate any reorder, restocking or other needs to the OS Staff. » Create and maintain documents using Microsoft Office programs. » Provide administrative project support to Maintenance, IT, Projects, Custodial and Operations ie. Maintain staff shirt inventory, support new staff name tag creation, maintain staff photo wall. » Support everyday passdowns between shifts by providing information in writing and on whiteboard. » Provide scheduled labor support to supplement labor needs around Help Desk staff vacation and planned absences. » Other tasks as directed by manager or manager. A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Additional Required Qualifications » Available to work scheduled shifts during daytime weekdays. » Attendance of staff meetings, trainings and assigned shifts. » Detail oriented in regards to data entry and taking messages.
