PlayArtsPlayArts, an arts and enrichment center in Philadelphia, is seeking an practiced and inspiring Center Director for our play-located, arts immersion preschool, PlayArts Creative. This is a full time, 12 month position.function Description The Preschool Director will be responsible for everyday operations, curriculum implementation and development, staff management, parent communication, and budgeting. The function requires strong leadership abilities expertise and the capability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. Reports to: Director of Operations Appropriate qualifications: » practice with The Creative Curriculum by Teaching Strategies » practice maintaining state compliance and preparing for annual OCDEL licensing inspection » Manage invoices in Quickbooks » practice in child development and early childhood education » expertise of kindergarten readiness and early childhood education standards » Strong budgeting and financial management expertise » Excellent communication and interpersonal expertise » capability to lead and manage a team » Familiarity with connecting families to Early Intervention resources » practice facilitating professional development » Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field » practice relating to the Arts Job tasks include, but are not limited to: » Supervise, support and provide resources for a team of talented and dedicated Early Childhood teachers and arts instructors » Establish healthy, positive relationships with students and families through regular and consistent communication, parent meetings and family fun events » Collaborate and meet regularly with administrative team » Assist in developing and maintaining an annual program budget » Process applications and handle admission and enrollment paperwork, deposits and tuition payments for incoming students » Provide monthly info sessions for prospective families » Handle all necessary paperwork and related tasks to ensure compliance with OCDEL and PA State licensing requirements » Plan and implement high quality professional development (PD) for staff » Lead the center in achieving NAEYC and Keystone STARS accreditation within two to three years » Collaborate with administrative team to establish goals and develop programs and practices that align with PlayArts' Diversity and Inclusion plan » Teach and offer assistance in classrooms as needed » Assist staff in maintaining a clean and orderly facility » Maintain a joyful work environment and positive culture with staff Compensation This is a full-time position with an annual income range of $58,000 - $61,000 located on education and practice Two (2) weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) plus some additional paid holidays and school breaks (determined by the annual school calendar) Paid training and professional development 50% company paid Medical, Vision and Dental plan Our Mission: To cultivate community and inspire creativity.
