Job Opportunity: Music & Community Radio Producer/Host:Northwest Public Broadcasting - KWSU-AM and KWSU-TVJob description: Music & Community Radio Producer/Host Listing description The Opportunity: Northwest Public Broadcasting's (NWPB) Music & Community Radio Producer/Host will supervise and curate the programming for NWPB's jazz service that includes KOHO 101.1FM in Wenatchee and KJEM 89.7FM in Pullman. As the Music & Community Radio Producer/Host, you will assist with local content creation to serve the North Central Washington community. Working closely with station management, producers, and other staff members, you will develop and execute high-quality music programming that will engage and educate the station's audience. You will also serve as the public face of the jazz service by hosting on-air broadcasts; researching, coordinating and conducting interviews; and creating a captivating and informative listening practice for jazz enthusiasts. This position is located in Wenatchee, WA. Required Appropriate qualifications: » A significant Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of progressively responsible professional radio practice which has included classical music practice. Any combination of significant education and practice may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. » Any genre of music practice will suffice for the 3 years of progressively responsible professional radio practice. » Two (2) years of program directing practice that includes a combination of one (1) year of professional radio on-air host practice and practice in cataloging, record-keeping, and/or database management. » Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal and interpersonal communication expertise. » Authentic, conversational broadcast voice and capability to work with direction and coaching. » Demonstrated capability and expertise of broadcast production and equipment. » Audio production expertise. » practice with digital and automation systems, database management, on-air interviewing. » Programming and music broadcasting, strong expertise of jazz and other forms of music. » Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in conformity with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards. Monthly income: $5,139.79 to $6,506.06 In conformity with RCW 49.58.110, the above income reflects the full income range for this position. Individual placement within the range is located on the candidate's current practice, education, expertise, and abilities related to the position. prosperous candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the income range.
