About Second State Press:
Founded in 2010, Second State Press is a nonprofit community printmaking studio whose mission is to foster the development of ideas and innovation in printmaking by providing our neighborhood with a professional, affordable, and supportive workspace.
SSP advances the growth of a sustainable printmaking community by offering professional facilities through membership, affordable communal workspace for emerging and mid-career artists, community arts education and professional development opportunities.
Position Overview:
The Education Coordinator will supervise and develop educational programs and workshops at SSP. this function is crucial in enhancing our community outreach and ensuring that our educational offerings align with the studio's mission and goals. The Education Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director and supports community outreach through research, development and implementation of educational programming. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in arts education, excellent organizational expertise, and a proven track record of relicapability and professionalism.
Key Job responsibilities:
Program Development:
Design and implement a variety of educational programs, including workshops, classes, and community events.
Develop curricula and instructional materials for printmaking classes and workshops.
Evaluate and refine existing core programs located on feedback and assessment.
Community Outreach:
Establish and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
Promote educational programs through social media, community events, and direct outreach.
Program Coordination:
Plan and execute educational programs, ensuring logistical details are managed effectively.
Coordinate with instructors, artists, and volunteers to ensure smooth operation of programs.
supervise registration, materials preparation, and on-site support for educational programs.
Resource Management:
Manage and maintain educational resources
Work with the Administrative Coordinator to develop and distribute educational materials such as handouts, guides, and online content.
Maintain accurate records of program attendance, feedback, and other significant data.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other staff members to align educational programs with organizational goals.
Provide support and training to volunteers and instructors involved in educational programs.
Contribute to fundraising efforts related to educational initiatives.

Appropriate qualifications:
practice:
Minimum of 2 years of practice in arts education, program coordination, or a similar function.
practice with printmaking techniques and materials.
Proven track record of relicapability and professionalism in previous functions.

Strong organizational and project management expertise.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
