Posting DetailsPosting InformationPosting Number: FAE1858 Advertised Title: Clinical adjunct/Associate Professor, Director Campus Job location: Park Avenue Campus (Memphis, TN) Position Number: 009850 Job Category: Full-Time Faculty Department: Communication Sciences and Disorders Position Summary: The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Memphis is seeking a skilled, innovative, and visionary audiologist with a strong clinical background who would like to work in a stimulating academic setting and direct clinical audiology services and practica. This position is a twelve-month, non-tenure-track line, beginning by August 1, 2025, and will be instrumental in ensuring that the School achieves the goals set out in its strategic plan and in shaping the clinical and clinical education professions. The candidate must have excellent communication, counseling/coaching, organization, collaboration, and leadership abilities skills, as well as a commitment to covering the professional need for a diverse and inclusive environment. The follows areas are desired, but not required: Managerial practice, knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, knowledge of CAA and CFCC standards, practice working in higher education. Clinical Faculty Job responsibilities: · Work with faculty on curriculum and program results/design · Service to School, University, and the profession · Professional activity and/or leadership abilities · Teach clinical graduate coursework · Maintain a line of clinical practice Administrative Job responsibilities: · Supervise, guide, and encourage audiology clinical faculty · Advise and mentor AuD students in their clinical education · Track clinical program progress and report as necessary · supervise on- and off-site clinical practica and externships · Maintain good working relationship with external practicum educators · Facilitate opportunities for professional development of clinical faculty · Advocate for new or expanded programs · Develop clinical programs to meet educational, community, and revenue needs Clinical Rank: Clinical adjunct or Associate Professor income: Commensurate with qualifications and practice Direct any question to: Katherine Mendez, MA, CCC-SLP, Chair, Search Committee School of Communication Sciences and Disorders E-Mail: k.mendez@memphis.edu or 901-678-5852 Review of applications will begin January 1, 2025, and will continue until the position is filled.
