Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Sexual Health Program adjunct position for the Center for Advocacy, avoidance & Education (CAPE) at Oregon State University (OSU). The Center for Advocacy, avoidance & Education (CAPE) provides confidential survivor advocacy, and primary avoidance of interpersonal and gender-located violence to the OSU community. Our Survivor Advocacy and avoidance & Education Teams work together to provide comprehensive sexual health education, action-oriented gender-located violence avoidance and compassionate survivor support. The Sexual Health Program adjunct will provide support to the CAPE team at Student Health Services, and specifically, the Sexual Health Specialist and avoidance & Education Team. This position primarily focuses on maintaining the Safer Sex Spot tracking, managing Dam Delivery requests and shipments across campus, and the facilitation of sexual health outreach/programming/workshops all over the academic year. In addition, the Sexual Health Program adjunct will engage in program evaluation and research as needed, and will be an active part of the CAPE team. Position tasks » Maintain distribution of safer sex supplies at all Safer Sex Spot locations, including stocking and tracking of supplies and following through on communication with campus partners » Manage packing and shipping of Dam Delivery orders to students » Diligently and accurately track and evaluate usage and supply levels of the Safer Sex Supply inventory on a regular and timely basis » Work collaboratively with CAPE Team and campus partners on education, avoidance and consciousness initiatives related to sexual health and violence avoidance » Facilitate sexual health workshops and other outreach activities on the topics of sexual health education, barrier methods, contraception, consent and healthy relationships to various groups across campus » Maintain a high level of expertise regarding on campus sexual health and violence avoidance resources to communicate with students and community partners » Conduct literature reviews, gathering information, and benchmarking other institutions regarding best practices and innovations in sexual health education as needed » Assist with updates to sexual health education curricula and presentation materials, as well as the creation and development of new sexual health education curricula and presentation materials when requested » Support sexual health education assessment efforts » Work with the Student Health Services Marketing Team, avoidance & Education Outreach adjunct, and the Sexual Health Specialist, on the development of sexual health education materials and messaging » Assist with the coordination of existing health promotion initiatives as assigned, including sexual health, sexual violence and general wellness programs » Support the Sexual Health Team; Student Health Services and the CAPE team » Other tasks as assigned Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found here: http://fa.oregonstate.edu/stu-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requiremen ts » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term* » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term* *International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
