Job Summary The Division of Extension and Engagement's Partnerships Unit is seeking an Open Campus & Juntos Coordinator for the Southern Willamette. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position that will serve the Southern Willamette region of Oregon.

This Open Campus & Juntos Coordinator is a member of the OSU Division of Extension and Engagement Partnerships Unit, including Juntos and Open Campus, and will have has regional and statewide responsibilities. This professional faculty position will serve the Southern Willamette Valley region of Oregon (Linn, Lane and Benton counties) and will be located at the OSU Extension Lane County Office. This coordinator may also work from the Linn and Benton county offices on a regular basis. Decisions regarding this position will be in consultation with the supervision team.

This Open Campus & Juntos Coordinator will provide local leadership abilities, coordination and foster partnerships needed to advance and sustain Open Campus and Juntos programs and goals. This individual will advance partnerships between Oregon State University, local school districts within Linn, Benton and Lane counties, as well as Lane Community College and Linn-Benton Community College, and community-located organizations.

This Open Campus & Juntos position will require driving/traveling to conduct non-credit programming, meet with students and families, connect with internal and external partners, as well as to fulfill the general work requirements of this position. Statewide tasks would include managing higher education partnerships and statewide Juntos facilitator relationships and support.

In addition, this individual will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and /or delivering non-credit Extension educational programing and outreach activities that serve diverse populations, including those that have been historically marginalized/excluded from participation. This includes complying with Civil Rights and Language/Visual Access regulations.

The Division of Extension and Engagement's Partnerships Unit has a focus on community engagement, development of learning opportunities, and increasing access to post-secondary education. The goal of Open Campus is to provide local access to learning that meets the needs of individuals, families, businesses, and communities. The Juntos program is designed to empower Latino youth and families with expertise, expertise, and resources to increase high school graduation and promote various college and career pathways. Key Responsibilities 45% - Regional Open Campus and Juntos leadership abilities
   » Develop and maintain positive relationships with local stakeholders including school districts to increase the programming of Open Campus and Juntos all over Linn, Benton and Lane counties.
   » Market Open Campus and Juntos programs to reach a broad and diverse audience following OSU and division brand guidelines.
   » Develop culturally inclusive and socially cognizant materials that ensure communication to a broad audience with diverse backgrounds and cultural identities.
   » Deliver non-credit educational presentations at community events and K-12 school partners which will require travel/driving all over the counties in the Southern Willamette Valley region.
   » Provide fiscal leadership abilities for the Open Campus and Juntos program in the Southern Willamette Valley region, including budget management, donations, grant management, and local support for programs;
   » Implement continuous assessment of community's educational needs around college/postsecondary access and transfer student support and manage Open Campus and Juntos programming in response to these needs.
   » Evaluate effectiveness and appropriateness of local programming and Open Campus and Juntos goals to document the impact on and value to the communities.

   » Develop and maintain communication plans and training opportunities for Statewide Juntos facilitators. Collaborate with Open Campus and Juntos Coordinators to identify facilitator needs and to create programming for statewide facilitator convening.

   » Coordinate local relationships with school districts to meet the program needs for Juntos (enrollment, evaluation, data collection, etc.).
   » Monitor educational offerings for quality control, accuracy, and branding.
   » Manage, train, and provide lead work for individuals who have various identities, cultural backgrounds, and communication styles and expectations. This includes volunteers/facilitators, students or interns who assist with programs.
   » Coordinate college access opportunities for Oregon State University and other higher education opportunities.
   » Mentor program participants and their families including students in internships and job shadowing situations.
   » Utilize research-located best practices for supporting pre-transfer community college students.
   » Utilize technology as a tool to increase the reach and impact of program delivery; utilize customer relationship management (CRM)/data (Hubspot) systems to collect, store, and analyze program data; and manage student and Juntos Facilitator contacts.
   » Follow all regulations under Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Institutional Review Board (IRB) and OSU Youth Safety Guidelines.
   » Use multiple methods of digital communication to collaborate both internally and externally as necessary.
   » Create content for delivery in multiple forms including web sites, publications, video conferencing, social media and other online methods.
   » Create research-located, non-credit, educational materials (handouts, curriculum, media located) and/or utilize existing research-located materials to support the delivery of non-credit educational programs.
   » Manage budgets to achieve Open Campus and Juntos goals and objectives.
   » Include activities that create opportunities for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the annual plan of work, impact statements, and summary of accomplishments/achievements.

10% - Service and Other
   » Participate in professional activities and serve on appropriate boards, councils and committees of the University, the Division of Extension & Engagement and the Community.
   » Participate in significant statewide/regional conferences, workshops, and trainings.
   » Participate in OSU Extension and OSU Partnerships Unit activities as directed.
   » Implement continuous assessment of community's educational needs and align identified educational needs with current, changing and emerging societal trends and resources.

   » Bachelor's degree in Education, Education Administration, Adult Education, Extension Education, or other field related to the tasks of this position. Degree must be completed by application date.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule The primary work location for this position is the OSU Extension Lane County Office in Eugene, Oregon. A flexible work schedule may be a future option via OSU's Flexible Work Arrangement Agreement Form , with pre-determined periodic reviews of on-going work for continuation of the agreement.

This position requires flexibility to work in a variety of settings and in the evenings and on weekends.

This position will serve the Oregon's Southern Willamette Valley Region and travel/driving will be required to meet with Partnerships Unit team and partners, attend trainings and/or Unit programs, and to share information about the Unit at conferences and other outreach opportunities as well as to fulfill the general work requirements of this position.
