Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $17.00 (Standard); $16.50 (Non-Urban); $18.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) DAS Administrative adjunct position at Oregon State University (OSU). The Administrative adjunct plays a vital function in providing customer service and support to DAS front desk staff, students, parents, and instructors all over the OSU community. In addition, the adjunct will be responsible for managing and developing projects and other administrative related work as assigned. Through this position, students will develop core competencies that will better prepare them for the careers after graduation. These expertise include, but are not limited to communication, problem solving, teamwork/collaboration, professionalism, and diversity and global consciousness. Position tasks » Takes initiative to make students/visitors feel welcome and safe in person, via phone, and/or email. » Provides appropriate answers to questions from students, parents, and instructors. » Effectively communicates DAS procedures in person, via phone and/or email. » Upload, scan and/or photocopy documentation and attach to student profile. » Schedule appointments. » Assist with checking out DAS equipment. » capability to problem solve and make decisions in conformity with DAS policies and procedures. » Escalates situations to professional staff when appropriate. » capability to prioritize work and organize Information technology a significant way. » Participate in tabling events all over campus. Preferred (Special) Qualifications Working Conditions / Work Schedule Academic year - fall, winter and spring terms. Summer employment is negotiable and dependent on the business needs of the DAS main office. Continued employment is contingent on satisfactory performance. Administrative Assistances are expected to work 5-10 hours a week and are eligible for no more than 24 work hours per week during a regular academic term. Work hours range from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday - Friday. Administrative Assistances are expected to work during Finals week . Summer work is not guaranteed. If eligible, students taking a term off can work up to 40 hours.
