Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $18.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill three (3) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Aroma Hop Harvest Students position for the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences to help with the hops harvest at Oregon State University (OSU). These positions are temporary and run from early-August until approximately September 20. Position tasks These positions are field-located with the student assisting the program leader with the hops harvest. tasks include removing mature hop plants from a trellis, transporting them via ATV and utility cart to a picker, and feeding the plants through the hops picker. Students will also assist with loading and unloading the hop kiln, processing samples for lab analysis, data collection, and field clean-up post-harvest. A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
