Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week during academic terms and up to 40 hours during summer break) Education Program adjunct for the Family & Community Health program at Oregon State University (OSU). This student position will work closely with the Family & Community Health program at the Oregon State University Extension Service on the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs on multiple aspects of designing and creating nutrition messaging for the program and will assist with other community health projects. This includes assisting in developing educational bulletin boards for elementary school, assisting in implementing summer school programming including working in gardens, and promoting the program through local events, preparing and offering samples of Food Hero recipes. The student will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with community partners. This learning opportunity will increase the expertise of students in the areas of community-located participatory research, community engagement and health leadership abilities, best practices in health promotion and behavior, and promoting policy, systems and environmental changes in order to optimize the nutrition and health of every person, every family and every community.
