Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $18.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill 15 part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Teaching/Learning adjunct positions for the Department of Physics at Oregon State University (OSU). Physics Student adjuncts perform assigned tasks for the Department of Physics assisting with instruction, laboratories, outreach, and other tasks as needed. More advanced students may run discussion or laboratory sections, or focus as a Learning adjunct with a specific Instructor. Position tasks The Undergraduate Teaching adjunct assists instructors in undergraduate level Physics courses as directed. tasks may include proctoring exams or grading homework, mid-term and final exams. A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Working Conditions / Work Schedule Work is as needed with heavier activity during mid-terms and finals. Some tasks are short term, others may have a fixed schedule for a full term.
