Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Ag in the Classroom Summer Education Programs adjunct Intern for the Agricultural and Marine Sciences at Oregon State University (OSU).

We are pursuing a student employee at Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation to assist with education programs occurring over the summer. The Education Programs adjunct Intern will manage Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom's Lending Library, including order fulfillment, tracking, teacher communication, data entry, inventory management, and organization. In addition, this position will assist with various short-term and long-term projects for the Foundation, and support any educational events (e.g., Summer Agriculture Institute).
This summer position will be expected to work 24-30 hours per week, with the option of working up to 40 hours , especially during busy weeks. The position will begin training during Spring Term 2024 before fully beginning in the Summer Term 2024 (anticipated: early June to end of Summer term). Note that there will be an option to continue all over the 2024-25 school year.
Note for Summer students: If you are enrolled in 6 credit hours or more during a session, you may work up to 24 hours total. If you are enrolled in five credit hours or less, you may work up to 40 hours total.

Position tasks 50% Order Management and Tracking
   » Manage the shipping, tracking, returns, and inventory for our 300+ item resource library
   » Schedule orders, communicate with teachers, and send weekly reminder notifications
   » Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

20% Inventory Management
   » Organize and maintain inventory of all kits and lending library items
   » Compile kits for distribution to educators
   » Manage and replenish supply inventory

10% Event Support
   » Assist with in-person educational events, including vehicle transportation, organization of educator resources, and any other programmatic needs
   » Develop social media promotions and announcements as time allows
   » Support website updates and maintain accuracy of programs as needed

10% everyday Tasks and Other tasks
   » everyday tasks include distributing mail, updating projects, and other tasks as assigned10% Cleaning
   » Regular cleaning and organization will be done on a everyday and weekly basis to ensure a safe and orderly work environment

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Physical Requirements: Work will be performed in an in-person office setting. Must be able to work at least 24 hours per week during the workweek. You will develop a working schedule with your manager and will be expected to maintain that schedule all over the term. May be required to maneuver up to 40 pounds of weight, including boxes of books and/or packages for delivery.

   » High-level competency with Microsoft Suite
   » practice working with WordPress for website content management
