Organizational Unit Overview The College of Engineering and Technology is comprised of four departments: Computer Science , Construction Management, Engineering , and Technology Systems. The college also includes the Advising Center, Center for Sustaincapability, and the Center for Innovation in Technology and Engineering as well as over 35,000 feet of lab space. The College serves more than 3,000 graduate and undergraduate students and has 80+ faculty. The College is housed in the 250,000 sq. ft. Science and Technology Building.

Job tasks Grant Management 30%
   » Manage all components of the pollution avoidance projects.
   » Communicate with all project partners. This includes: Energy Centers and Professional Organizations, County Developers, City Managers, and projects' sub-awardees.
   » Communicate with project faculty.
   » Plan technical training courses and regional pollution avoidance workshops.

Pollution avoidance Technical Assistance 30%
   » Organize and conduct the technical assistance component of the pollution avoidance projects with other team members. This includes pollution avoidance, energy, water, and lean assessments.
   » Develop technical assessment reports and present the results to the facilities.
   » Follow up with assisted facilities to track implemented recommendations.
   » Develop environmental management plans for facilities as needed.
Student Supervision 20%
   » Supervise project undergraduate and graduate students and provide guidance.
   » Supervise and assist summer internship students (6 students per year).
   » Organize and monitor student work schedules.
Marketing 20%
   » Develop marketing materials for the pollution avoidance projects. This includes marketing materials for the technical training courses and for the regional workshops.
   » Plan activities to promote pollution avoidance during the annual pollution avoidance week (third week of September annually).
   » Work with assisted facilities to write case studies and success stories.
   » Update the information on the projects' website regularly and submit the updates to the website admins.
Minimum Education/practice Bachelor's degree in an agriculture, biological, engineering, environmental, natural resources sciences or related discipline and one year of practice that demonstrates possession of the competencies necessary to execute the work; or equivalent combination of training and practice. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

License or Certification required by statute or regulation N/A

Preferred practice, expertise, Training/Education practice in a manufacturing environment, supervision, data analysis and grant management is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication expertise, computer application expertise, and the capability to analyze and compile technical and statistical data are preferred. The capability to work independently, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively with client organizations is preferred.
