Position Summary Information

Job Summary/Basic Function: About this function:
The adjunct Director for Marketing and Promotions reports directly to the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing. The prosperous candidate will be responsible for providing and coordinating all marketing, promotions, fan engagement, and creative content for assigned programs within the Athletics Department. This position will work closely with various athletics department staff to ensure marketing content and initiatives are aligned with contractual obligations, fan engagement functions and best practices.

What You'll Do - Position Job responsibilities:
   » Creates and implements marketing strategies, community outreach initiatives and in-
game promotional activities for assigned sports to increase fan engagement and game
attendance. Subsequently evaluate the effectiveness of deployed strategies to
recommend and implement changes as needed.
   » Responsible for the coordination of all in-game promotional activities, scripts, video and
fixed content, and other event presentation channels to ensure a positive and engaging
fan practice.
   » Interviews, trains, evaluates, coaches, and offers professional development support for
assigned student adjuncts, graduate adjuncts, and other temporary hourly personnel
to meet department objectives.
   » Provides direct support to various external-facing areas within the Athletic Department
to ensure contractual obligations related to creative content are fully satisfied.
   » Manages social media calendar for select sports.
   » Other tasks as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing to respond to
the needs of the university.

Physical Requirements:

   » This position required sitting and standing for extended periods of time and lifting to 25 pounds while performing the essential functions as described within the essential job functions.

Minimum Appropriate qualifications:
   » Bachelor's Degree in a field significant to the position summary and essential job functions
   » 1-3 years of professional practice in the field of Athletics working in advertising, promotions, public relations, communications, or related field.
