The mission: RES is actively growing across 25+ states and expanding our federal client base. You will play a crucial function in driving business growth by leading the capture process for RES’ federal targets, in particular, NOAA, NFWF and BOR . You will be responsible for pursuing and positioning RES for key federal contracts, projects, and programmatic opportunities with these two organizations. Your primary focus will be on knowledge federal customer requirements, shaping solutions, identifying and securing key teaming partners, and developing winning strategies to secure new federal business opportunities. What your day-to-day might look like? Opportunity Analysis and Qualification : Conduct thorough research and analysis to assess the strategic fit and likelihood of success of pursuing specific opportunities. Evaluate the company's key gaps in capabilities and differentiators and develop approaches to mitigate/close them. Evaluate procurement challenges and develop creative solutions to contracting pathways. Capture Strategy : Formulate and execute a capture strategy that outlines key win themes, discriminators, teaming arrangements, and pricing strategies to maximize the probcapability of winning. Customer Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with potential customers (federal government targets and prime contractors), knowledge their requirements, challenges, and priorities to shape tailored solutions. Competitive Analysis : Analyze incumbent and competitors' strengths and weaknesses to position the company favorably during the capture process. Develop strategies to differentiate and showcase the company's value proposition. Solution Development : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical experts, pricing specialists, designers, engineers, contracting specialists, business analysts, and project managers, to develop comprehensive and compelling solutions that address customer needs. Along with Federal Solutions Leader, identify necessary resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to support the capture process effectively. Risk Management : Identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact the capture process and the prosperous execution of the opportunity. Proposal Support : Provide guidance and support to proposal development teams during the pre-proposal and proposal phase, ensuring alignment with the capture strategy and federal procurement requirements. Stakeholder Management and Communication : Regularly communicate with Federal Solutions leadership abilities and key stakeholders to provide updates on capture progress, challenges, and adjustments to the capture strategy. Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the federal government, particularly with decision-makers within target agencies. Understand customer needs and adapt strategies to meet these requirements. Market Intelligence : Stay abreast of federal contracting trends, especially those related to Nature-located Solutions innovations. Analyze competitor activities, regulatory changes, and technological advancements by working with internal Federal Analysts and outside resources. Qualifications We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following: » Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, environmental science, or a related field » 5+ years’ practice in business development, capture management, or related functions, with federal government clients including NOAA, NFWF and BOR. » Demonstrated track record of prosperously capturing and winning large, complex contracts or projects. » In-depth knowledge of federal procurement processes and contracting mechanisms, including rules, regulations, and compliance requirements » Strong leadership abilities expertise with the capability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate interdepartmental cooperation, influencing decision-makers across the organization. » Excellent communication expertise » Strategic and analytical mindset, with the capacity to think critically and solve complex problems, especially concerning federal acquisition tactics What will make you stand out? » Master's degree in business, marketing, engineering, environmental science, or a related field income range: $150,000 - $200,000 / year.
