Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Marketing Associate positions for the Orange Media Network (OMN) at Oregon State University (OSU).

The Marketing Associate is responsible for promoting the OMN brand and increasing engagement with OMN's six different mediums (The Barometer, KBVR-TV, KBVR-FM, DAMchic, Beavers Digest and Prism). You work collaboratively, as part of a marketing team, on planning, developing and launching marketing plans; events; promotional campaigns; distribution of OMN's print publications; and digital marketing (e.g., social media, email).

Position tasks Marketing Associate Responsibilities
   » Strategize with OMN Marketing Lead and medium student leaders to create marketing campaigns that increase consciousness and drive engagement
   » Develop social media content calendars and post social media content online
   » Develop quick, simple creative content for social media posts
   » Participate and represent OMN at different events (e.g., Welcome Week, tabling, OMN tours, class visits, OMN launch parties)
   » Distribute OMN print publications to assigned racks and distribution centers
   » Track and review marketing analytics (e.g., social media analytics, pickup rates, event metrics), provide insights from the data and develop action plans located on the insights
   » Collaborate with student leaders and partners to plan and launch events
   » Attend weekly cohort meetings and all trainings
   » Hold and post 5 - 10 regular office hours each week for Orange Media Network, at least half of these hours should be during regular business hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday). Hours may vary during different stages of the term
   » Act in a professional manner at all times and create and maintain collegial working relationships with fellow student leaders, organization members, sources, stakeholders, partners, collaborators and the community
   » Other tasks as assigned by the adviser

   » Respond to emails, messages, team chats and phone calls the same day, professionally representing OMN
leadership abilities
   » Be an enthusiastic leader and representative of OMN
   » Provide feedback and coach others to be their best
   » Work to create an inclusive and welcoming culture of celebration and perseverance
   » Ensure designs and content are centered on equitable representation and inclusion, with attention to impact on historically excluded communities and constituencies
   » Follow all OMN policies and procedures

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
