Position Summary: The Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a 9-month, non-tenure track adjunct Professor of Teaching in Mathematics beginning Spring 2025. candidates must have either a PhD in Mathematical Sciences or a minimum of a Master's Degree in Mathematical Sciences or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of teaching practice at the university level and a strong commitment to lower division undergraduate instruction. practice with MyMathLab or WebAssign software and NCAT redesign methods is preferred. Candidates able to support the Statistics graduate program by teaching graduate courses (6000 level or higher) or with an actuarial background (significant for our actuarial sciences undergraduate track) are especially encouraged to apply. Normal tasks will include teaching 4 courses per semester (12 credit hours), including pure mathematics courses (particularly General Education courses), and assisting with other aspects of the instructional program, such as serving on departmental committees and advising of students.
