Job Offer: Environmental Specialist:Agri-Waste TechnologyJob description:Job InformationEnvironmental SpecialistBack to listTitle Environmental Specialist Organization Agri-Waste Technology Job detail This job entails working with farmers to improve their day to day operations. The job primarily consists of office work but regular travel is a large part of the job. You will visit the farms and work with the farmer to understand the current capabilities and needs of their facility. Once the site visit is complete you will return to the office in Apex, NC to complete calculations to determine what can be done to improve the facility. The most common type of work will consist of energy plans and comprehensive nutrient management plans. Agri-Waste Technology also completes irrigation plans, stormwater plans, and does some environmental consulting with corporate clients. To complete these plans you will need to be able to use Microsoft Excel as well as a few other software packages to make recommendations to improve the fuel usage, electricity usage, erosion rates, and waste utilization for the farms that are visited. This position is an in office job that consists of 10-20% travel.
