Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $19.00 (Standard); $18.50 (Non-Urban); $20.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary Student Employee will assist with shop organization, maintenance, and production of machined components in the CEOAS Machine and Technical Development (CMTD) facility. Position tasks 40% Machine operation includes medium volume production of components on the manual milling machine, CNC milling machine, manual lathe, and CNC lathe. 25% Shop maintenance pertains to routine maintenance of lubrication and cooling systems on shop equipment as well as tooling inventory and monitoring. 25% Housekeeping 10% Component assembly of outsourced and in-house components into field-ready instrumentation and equipment. A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Additional Required Qualifications Familiarity with Hand tools and basic machine tools. Proficiency in reading precision measuring instruments. Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings Preferred (Special) Qualifications Familiarity with Solidworks 3D modeling software. Familiarity with HSM works CAM software. practice operating fork lift.
