Position Summary
   » This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Employment position for the Public Health and Human Services, Pharmacy , Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University (OSU)
   » While employed in the Physical Activity Programs Office Support function, this position will receive guidance in time sensitive task management, program administrative support, and quality customer service expertise. The goal of this position will be to equip the student with valuable expertise and professional qualities to make a greater impact on their future education and/or career while serving the needs of our programs.
   » This position provides office support for the Physical Activity Course (PAC) Program in the Office of Physical Activity Programs within the School of Exercise and Sport Science. The school has a large and prosperous undergraduate program, which includes two accredited degree options.
   » In addition, the school delivers the courses that fulfill the fitness requirement in the Baccalaureate Core (HHS) and the elective PAC Program. The PAC Program also offers 5 undergraduate leadership abilities certificates in physical activity: Artistic & Social Dance Teacher Training, Fitness and Wellness leadership abilities, a YA200 hour Yoga Teacher Training, and PADI SCUBA Divemaster Levels 1 and 2. The PAC Program delivers educational courses to 4,000 for-credit and non-credit enrollments per term with a mission to guide students towards continued engagement in physical activity and foster leadership abilities expertise in future physical activity leaders.
   » This position also provides office support for the Faculty Staff Fitness (FSF) Program within the Office of Physical Activity Programs. FSF provides activity/wellness programming for staff, faculty, retirees, graduate students and affiliates of the University. The program encompasses 400+ registrants per term over 35+ different classes in aquatics, specialty, strength, mind/body, cardio and online classes.
   » The Office Support function is to support the PAC and FSF programs and the Office of Physical Activity Programs. This position has everyday contact with students and participants via phone, email and in person. This position will also work on marketing and office outreach projects with goal of bringing these programs to as many students and participants as possible.
   » This position reports directly to the Office Manager of the Office of Physical Activity Programs and is supervised by the Director of Physical Activity Programs.
   » The anticipated hourly pay rate is $15.00
Position tasks
   » While employed as the Physical Activity Programs office support student worker, this position will receive guidance in time sensitive task management, program administrative support, and quality customer service expertise. The goal of this position will be to equip the student worker with valuable expertise and professional qualities to make a greater impact on their future education and/or career while serving the needs of our programs.
   » This position will work primarily in Langton Hall Room 123 with brief tasks assigned in Women's Building or running errands around campus. This position does not include remote work. Langton Hall is heated but not cooled. The office is ADA accessible.
   » Office hours are M-T 8-5pm and Friday 8-2pm. Scheduling is flexible around course schedule but shifts of 2-3 hours are preferred in mid-day to afternoon when customer traffic is heaviest Minimum of 10 hours per week, maximum of 24. Hours will be heavier during the Fall, Winter and Spring terms (Weeks 0-11). Summer work may be available located on need. The office is closed on university holidays and weekends. This position will be working at a computer workstation, both standing and sitting; may be asked to lift boxes or equipment of approximately 40lbs; and may be asked to open, close or work the office independently after satisfactory training.
Customer Service 65%
   » Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, students and other participants in our office, via phone, and email, with the goal of enhancing their practice with us.
   » Help FSF participants and PAC students get registered for classes in person, through Ideal Logic and over the phone - including taking cash and credit card payments and use of register.
   » ·Assist students with override, add/drop class petitions process, non-credit registration class audit process and change of grading process for PAC and HHS Programs. Assist students with HHS special exam petition process, facilitate paperwork and signatures.
   » Assist students/participants with locker rentals
   » Open, close and cover the office independently after satisfactory training is completed.
   » Other tasks as necessary.

Administrative 35%
   » Assist Office Manager with management of the E-Mail: pac.fsf@oregonstate.edu email, phone traffic, and everyday operations of the Office.Complete daily/weekly office tasks as assigned by Office Manager.
   » Collaborate on marketing and outreach for PAC/FSF including tabling (Beaver Fair, Benefits Fair, START Fairs), social media content creation and posting, print materials, etc.
   » Assist FSF seasonal events including marketing & promotion, registration and event day service. Some events may occur outside of office hours.
   » Assist with data collection and entry, record keeping and reconciliation, scanning and copying documents.
   » Assist with emergency management as needed (getting EMS to the classroom, AED/FA Kit, etc).
   » Run campus errands.
   » Updating information on websites.
   » contact with student clubs and organizations to make connections on campus as directed.
   » Assist with cash out forms and deposits to HSBC office
   » Assist with fulfillment of Benny Buy orders for office supplies.
   » Assist with management of digital advertising TV in Langton hallway
   » Assist with maintaining two copiers in Langton, ordering supplies as needed.
   » Manage and distribute incoming/outgoing mailboxes in Langton hall
   » Assist with maintain filing system, office procedure manual, and security of confidential information
   » Assist with hallway management of bulletin boards and other building signage.
   » Other tasks as necessary.

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
