Pay Rate $15.50/hour Minimum practice/Education High School Diploma. Departmental Preferred practice, expertise, Training/suitable education Must have excellent customer service expertise, an outgoing and positive attitude, and the capability to work well under pressure. Must be reliable, professional, responsible, and a good leader. A background in Box Office or House Management is preferred. Interest in the performing arts preferred. tasks and Responsibilities Seeking House Manager for the Performing Arts at UNC Charlotte College of Arts + Architecture. The House Manager's primary responsibility is to supervise all aspects of Front-of-House operations during music, theatre, and dance performances. tasks include: Preparing the lobby and theater for a performance, managing and training student ushers, supervising audience seating, communicating with production staff to ensure timely starts and intermissions, maintaining the safety and comfort of all patrons and upholding the highest level of customer service. Other Work/Responsibilities Other responsibilities include working with the box office staff to address any patron complaints or ticketing issues, handling any issues that arise during performances such as cellphone usage or photography, and securing the building at the close of every shift. Evening and weekend work is required during the academic year. Must have a flexible schedule. The House Manager reports to the Audience Services Manager.
