Thisincludes providing strategic direction and ensuring consistency and quality ofcommunications. The Asst. Director will help facilitate fostering positiverelations with various university stakeholders by telling our story in acompelling manner. This person will work closely with the Office ofMarketing and Communications. A critical area of focus will be developingdiverse channels for communication. Benefits of Employment (Applies to full-time, non-police employees only): Job tasks tasks & Job responsibilities: Develops and implements processes and procedures for prioritization, approval, and production timeline of advancement communications projects. tasks & Job responsibilities: Ensures that all written proposals, letters, and reports are highly personalized and engaging for major gift and planned giving donors and prospects, despite occasional intense time constraints. tasks & Job responsibilities: Serves as the liaison regarding the compliance of brand standards and ADA issue between Advancement Communications, external partners, and the University's External Relations division. Work with External Relations to review, submit and approve division collateral and messaging. tasks & Job responsibilities: Serves as the primary liaison with External Relations and/or third-party public relations vendors for development-related materials to be broadly distributed, including press releases, invitations to events, and feature articles in university publications. tasks & Job responsibilities: Supports the Director for Advancement Communication in strategizing and implementing a unified voice across the division (including our personality on various social media platforms) and developing a communications plan focused on conveying the impact of philanthropy and alumni engagement in the UofM and highlighting significant philanthropic investments. tasks & Job responsibilities: Manages the implementation and staff training of departmental software and communication tools (i.e., Encompass, Ovrture, Hootsuite). Includes maintaining contracts and vendor relationships, evaluating platform effectiveness, and identifying/recommending innovative technology as appropriate. tasks & Job responsibilities: Serves in a leadership abilities capacity for the Director during absences and may distribute work to staff in conformity with the Director's overall directives. tasks & Job responsibilities: Other tasks as assigned.
