Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) CAPE avoidance & Education Outreach adjunct position at Oregon State University (OSU).

The avoidance and Education Outreach adjunct assists in the management of CAPE's social media, including content creation and interaction monitoring, and other outreach activities. They develop content, health communication materials, graphics, and outreach materials on programs, events, and initiatives managed by the avoidance & Education Team, ensuring they are equity-focused, trauma-informed and inclusive. Responsibilities also include facilitating workshops, developing events, collaborating with campus partners, and participating in campus planning committees.

Position tasks
   » Curate CAPE social media (Instagram) including but not limited to creation of content, monitoring of interaction and activity, reach and impact evaluation, and utilization of accessibility best practices
   » Creation of health communication related to sexual health, gender-located violence avoidance, and other CAPE programming through an intersectional equity located lens in collaboration with professional faculty
   » Develop visually appealing and brand-consistent graphics for various social media content and outreach materials
   » Create and coordinate outreach, marketing materials, and efforts for CAPE programming and events, inlcuding social media content, photos, videos, posters, flyers, stickers, annoucements, slides, emails, etc.
   » Facilitate CAPE avoidance & Education workshops and trainings for campus community
   » Serve as a member of interdepartmental student-located planning committees for domestic violence consciousness, stalking consciousness, and sexual assault consciousness
   » Develop and facilitate community-centered events, activities and other initiatives that prosperously educate participants
   » Work collaboratively with campus partners on avoidance and education initiatives, promotion, and social media content
   » Creation, planning, implementation, and facilitation of violence avoidance and sexual health programming and community located activities
   » Conduct literature review and general research to inform, assess, and analyze high impact Center for Advocacy, avoidance, and Education health communication and program strategies
   » Understand and inform avoidance practices through the lens of social justice, intersectionality, and collaboration
   » Assist in the training and mentorship of CAPE Peer Educators and other student staff as needed
   » Support Center for Advocacy, avoidance & Education evaluation and data assessment efforts
   » Other tasks as assigned

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Additional Required Qualifications
   » Able to work 15-20 hours per week during the Academic Year on site at the OSU Corvallis Campus
   » Demonstrated interest in sexual violence avoidance, supporting survivors, advocating for social change, sexual health, reproductive justice, public health, social media content creation & curation, health communication, marketing, and/or graphic design
   » Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication expertise
   » practice with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Instagram, Microsoft Suite, or similar platforms used to create graphics, videos, edit photos and/or videos, etc.
   » Demonstrated strong organizational expertise and attention to detail
   » capability to work both independently and collaboratively
   » Demonstrated capability to accept and integrate constructive feedback in the design process
   » Demonstrated capability to effectively manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks
   » Comfortable being visible and representing CAPE at in person events, and on social media platforms

Preferred (Special) Qualifications
   » Current full time OSU Student
   » practice facilitating workshops, trainings, or other outreach activities
   » capability to conduct comprehensive literature searches and evaluate the relevance, quality, and validity of information and sources
   » Photography and or videography practice via coursework, projects, professional settings, hobbies, etc.
