Posting DetailsPosting InformationPosting Number: SAECC3881 Advertised Title: Director, Student-Athlete Development Campus Job location: Main Campus (Memphis, TN) Position Number: 022552 Job Category: Staff (Hourly/Monthly) Department: Athletic Administration Minimum Position Appropriate qualifications: A Master's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of practice working directly with students in advising, athletics, admissions, or recruitment at the collegiate level is required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and practice may be substituted for the degree requirement. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Special Conditions: The department is especially interested in candidates who are members of the National Association for Academic Advisors in Athletics (N4A) and who possess professional practice working in an advising capacity with collegiate student-athletes on a college or university campus. Initial screening of applications will begin June 27, 2024. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This position may require work beyond the normal schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Assists with monitoring social media accounts for student-athlete development and UMADE. tasks & Job responsibilities: Meeting and corresponding with coaches and staff regarding resources and educational programs available for the student-athletes. tasks & Job responsibilities: Coordinate postgraduate scholarship, and academic award nominations for student-athletes. Maintains records of student-athlete volunteer and leadership abilities practices and provides an update to sports administrator and coaches semesterly tasks & Job responsibilities: Plan, facilitate, and manage the end of the year award show for student-athlete recognition. tasks & Job responsibilities: Assist student-athletes with researching internship and post-graduation employment opportunities.
