Minimum Position Appropriate qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of significant practice in strength and conditioning programs in basketball or professional sports organizations.

Current CPR/AED certification required.

Must currently hold and maintain CSCS or SCCC certification.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Special Conditions:
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

This position will require work beyond the normal schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays and may require travel as needed.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Program Design:
Develops and monitors strength & conditioning programs for assigned varsity athletic teams.

Foresees potential injury risks and takes preventative measures; in the event of injury capable of implementing an emergency medical procedures.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Organization & Administration:
supervise all aspects of weight room including but not limited too; assignment of staff for specific sports, training times, facilities, budget and equipment oversight.

Organizes team and manager orientation, follow-up meetings, in-service training meetings for managers, and nutrition and weight management meetings.

Assists with general maintenance and cleaning of the Strength & Conditioning facility and equipment.

Assist each sport with the recruitment of student athletes.

supervise all aspects of fitness testing, computation of results, and evaluation of individual athletes.

Assist with anthropomorphical assessment measures.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Exercise Science:
Demonstrates an knowledge of human muscle physiology in order to appropriately design safe and effective exercise programs and obtain desired results.

Demonstrates an knowledge of human bioenergetics and metabolism in order to appropriately design safe, effective and activity-specific exercise programs and obtain desired results.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Nutrition:
Utilizes information concerning weight loss and weight gain in order to prescribe training programs that bring about desired results in body composition, strength, and muscular and cardiovascular endurance.

Recognizes symptoms and behaviors connected with eating disorders utilizing physical performance evaluations and observations.

Assist in oversight of Nutrition fueling station..

tasks & Job responsibilities: Perform other tasks as assigned by the head coach.
