What You'll Do - Position Job responsibilities: » Manage the main HR phone line, directing callers to the appropriate resources or HR office efficiently and professionally. » supervise guest traffic, warmly greeting both internal and external customers, and guiding them to the HR office as needed. » Assist with various HR projects, including student employment resources and employee engagement initiatives, ensuring timely and effective support. » Coordinate and support HR related events. Encouraging participation and engagement. » Perform general office tasks, including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records. Key Competencies: » capability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. » Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), strong verbal and written communication expertise, and attention to detail. » Good interpersonal expertise to interact with internal and external customers. Minimum Appropriate qualifications: » Currently enrolled at Lamar University as a Full-Time Student. » Must be majoring in the College of Business and eligible for Federal Work-Study. » Previous practice in customer service or administrative capacity. Physical Requirements: » Prolonged periods of sitting, Standing, capability to lift 40 pounds. Certifications Required: Work Hours: Job Conditions: » Office Environment with frequent interruptions. » Regular working hours. Monday -Friday 8am-5pm. » Business casual dress attire.
