Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (about 10 hours per week) Student Outreach adjunct (Graphic Designer) position for the Linus Pauling Institute (LPI) at Oregon State University (OSU). The Linus Pauling Institute is an internationally renowned research center that focuses on the effects of vitamins, minerals, and other dietary components on promoting optimal health. Outreach and communication - essential parts of the Institute's mission - focus on disseminating scientific information on the functions of vitamins, minerals, dietary phytochemicals, and other dietary factors in health and disease. Position tasks This position will assist the outreach and research programs at LPI. Specific tasks include assisting in the design of infographics and graphical depictions of scientific information for the LPI website, primarily its Micronutrient Information Center (lpi.oregonstate.edu/mic), but also may be used in LPI social media, newsletter, brochures, and grant applications and journal publications to help conceptualize complex scientific information. The position works closely with the LPI communications and Micronutrient Information Center staff. Other related tasks may be assigned as needed. The schedule is flexible depending on workload and student's needs, but some availcapability on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. is required. We anticipate this position will work 10 hours a week.
