Posting DetailsPosting InformationPosting Number: FAE1808 Advertised Title: Post Doctoral Fellow Campus Job location: Main Campus (Memphis, TN) Position Number: L18489 Job Category: Full-Time Faculty Department: Computer Science Position Summary: The University of Memphis Department of Computer Science is seeking a Post Doctoral Research Fellow (post-doc) in the area of Computing Education Research (CER). Under the supervision of Dr. Scott Fleming, the post-doc will have the opportunity to work on a variety of CER directions, including (but not limited to) the investigation of innovative pedagogical approaches, instructional designs, and supporting tools (including applications of AI) to enhance learner results in the acquisition of beginning-to-advanced computer programming and software development expertise. The post-doc will be responsible for performing research tasks (including the design and development of instructional materials and tools, the planning and execution of empirical studies, and the coauthoring of research manuscripts and proposals) and for working with graduate students. The post-doc will also have the option of teaching a computer science course. candidates must provide a letter of interest, CV, and contact information for a minimum of three professional references. Minimum Position Appropriate qualifications: Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related discipline and a background in CER and/or CS education research. ABD status with conferral date before position start date will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have practice with full-stack web development. Special Conditions: This 12-month post-doc position is renewable located on performance and availcapability of funding.
