This position is ideal for an early career interior designer with some prior practice. Ian Schrager Company is a world-class hospitality and real-estate development company located in New York City. The Design adjunct function will be expected to work with a high-level, practiced, fast-paced design team to deliver best-in-class products. The designer will be expected to contribute to the design effort with responsibilities that may include design iterations, concepts, research, visualizations, documentation and material specification. Candidate should be located in the tri-state area. Remote work will not be considered. everyday office attendance is required. this function is located in New York City. Pay range is between $63,000 - $73,000. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program is required. 2-3 years’ practice working in a high-level design environment. This is a junior position, but candidates should possess strong entry‐level practice and a solid portfolio commensurate with a junior level of practice. Team player that thrives in a high-pressure work environment Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, REVIT, 3D modeling and rendering, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office. Bluebeam proficiency is a plus. Outstanding organizational expertise with strong attention to detail. The capability to prioritize and be proactive is paramount. capability to work in fast paced, high-end environment. Hospitality practice is preferred. High-end residential may be considered but a strong hospitality interior design background will take precedence. A strong eye for design details, interest in architecture, art, art and architectural history, the decorative arts, furniture design, lighting design and current and upcoming industry trends. Some expertise of local vendors, sales representatives and showrooms Excellent verbal and written communication expertise A consummate professional demeanor and work ethic at all times is critical. Motivation to complete tasks in a timely manner. RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with the design team and operational team to help concept, develop and execute design across a portfolio of projects. Assist where needed in office and project organization, arranging meetings, running errands, keeping logs, organizing network files, assisting with FF&E purchasing, material library organization, submittals, document control, budgeting, and project coordination. Help space plan, develop furniture & FF&E plans. Assist in creation presentations for stakeholders. Creation of lookbooks and other guidelines for operational partners. Assist team leaders with project diagramming, programming and planning. Work with FF&E vendors and purchasing agents for procurement and sourcing goods. capability to inspect and approve for quality and ensure timely delivery. Assist design team with review of design drawings and submittals for accuracy. Assist with project setup and kickoff. Maintains discretion and strict confidentiality. Assist team leaders with install and property commissioning as required. Accept any other tasks and responsibilities assigned by senior staff as required.View your Application History Skills:
