Position Summary The Division of Educational Ventures at Oregon State University is seeking one part-time (minimum of 7 hours per week, maximum of 14 hours per week) student to join our Analytics team. Reporting to the adjunct Director of Market Research and Strategy, this position aids in enabling data-driven decision-making for new program development, marketing and recruitment, and academic innovation projects. You will work with public and proprietary datasets and gain expertise in data analysis and reporting, project management, and communication. prosperous candidates will have technical aptitude and a proven capability to apply themselves, lgain new technologies, work independently, and complete assignments on time. This position offers the opportunity to gain practical practice and professional development in a highly supportive environment. Generally, the responsibilities for this position include:

Data analysis and interpretation
Research and information gathering
Reporting and presentation
Data management and organization
Project management and communication
Other tasks and special projects, as assigned

You will have opportunities to contribute to more advanced projects in addition to these standard responsibilities as you gain competence in the function.

This position will work from the Valley Library between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm on weekdays only (Monday through Friday). A laptop and workstation will be provided for adjuncts that are working on-site.

A remote work option may be available for Ecampus students. Access to a computer and reliable internet will be needed to execute the job tasks.

Position tasks • Utilize advanced software tools such as Lightcast Analyst and Gray DI Markets to access and analyze education data and labor market information.
• Source, process, analyze, and interpret large datasets using Excel, applying statistical methods and data visualization techniques to uncover significant insights.
• Conduct thorough research using diverse sources including websites, academic articles, industry reports, and public databases.
• Synthesize complex information from multiple sources to support market research objectives.
• Prepare professional research deliverables that effectively summarize key findings and insights.
• Create visually appealing presentations and reports to communicate research results to stakeholders.
• Maintain a system for organizing and storing working files and final deliverables in Box.
• Adhere to best practices for file naming conventions and tagging to ensure easy retrieval and collaboration.
• Utilize Airtable for project management, tracking progress and deadlines.
• Actively participate in weekly team meetings, providing updates on project status and findings.
• Maintain regular communication with the manager, delivering progress reports and seeking guidance when necessary.
• Create and update methodologies, reporting templates, and standard operating procedures as directed to enhance the efficiency and consistency of research processes.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure that methodologies align with best practices and meet project objectives.
• Stay updated on the latest market research trends and methodologies, continuously improving analytical expertise.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with team members to enhance problem-solving abilities and develop a deeper knowledge of the market research field.

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment

   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

• Naturally inquisitive, a strong sense of curiosity, and an interest to lgain about a wide variety of topics

Preferred (Special) Qualifications • Working knowledge of Python
• Working knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
• practice with survey programs, such as Qualtrics
