We work in a wide variety of sectors and building types including multi-family, hospitality, national and state parks, cultural and performing arts, higher education, and civic projects. We design new buildings in sensitive historic and natural settings, and work in the adaptive reuse and preservation of older ones. These buildings can be tied to a particular place and time, culture, or architectural movement. In our practice, we draw strongly from the sense of place, and we see how history comes alive in the buildings we work to renew. We are seeking for a talented Intermediate Architect/Designer to join our dynamic and collaborative San Francisco office. This is a full-time position with the expectation that the hired architect/designer will work in the San Francisco office a minimum of 3 days per week. The income range for this position is $75,000 – 95,000 depending on practice. What you will do: » Work in all project phases. » Collaborate and communicate with design teams, clients, consultants, and contractors » Develop conceptual designs and produce construction documents » Create Revit models and renderings » Work independently on projects with senior supervision » Attend site visits, field investigations, and construction meetings Your Appropriate qualifications: » At least 6 years’ practice in architectural practice is preferred » Have strong design and technical expertise, and familiarity with sustainable strategies and LEED documentation » practice developing design concepts and organizing presentations » practice preparing design and construction documents » Have strong graphic, written and oral communication expertise » Be able to work constructively with clients » Skilled in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe, SketchUp, Enscape, and MS Office » expertise of the IBC, CBC, ABA, and ADA » Be a creative problem solver who enjoys working on a diverse range of exciting projects ARG supports and encourages staff development, including AXP and support for taking the ARE.
