Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $17.00 (Standard); $16.50 (Non-Urban); $18.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Nutrition adjunct positions for UHDS at Oregon State University. Under the direction of the registered dietitian, the Nutrition adjunct assists with menu management to ensure accurate nutrition, allergen and dietary preference information. This position will assist with a variety of educational and outreach efforts designed primarily for the UHDS residential community. Position tasks Position tasks include: » Maintain accurate information in the food service management database (Eatec/Jamix) » Review all recipes and inventory items to ensure accurate nutrition, allergen and dietary preference » Communicate with Chefs with recipe questions or concerns » Gather nutritional information from vendors/websites for new products as needed » Assist with pricing and creating products for new menu items » Label products with appropriate dietary preference information (ie, vegan/vegetarian) » Update and maintain allergy and dietary preference procedures » Upload and manage online menus and dietary preference lists on website » Audit all dining centers to assure display cards have accurate allergen and dietary preference information » Assists the units as needed with creating allergen display cards » Assist with nutrition education outreach, in service, new student orientation and training needs » Engage in marketing and communication efforts for outreach events » Participate in product testing as related to products specific to address dietary needs » Administer nutrition/dietary habits or needs surveys to students » Contribute new ideas around systems or processes that will help to better serve residents with special dietary needs » Assist with annual assessments related to sustaincapability efforts » Assist with nutrition consultations for students with special dietary needs » Assist with other tasks as assigned by the manager Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found here: http://fa.oregonstate.edu/stu-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requiremen ts » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term* » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term* *International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
