From vineyard to cellar, we employ a variety of techniques and fermentation vessels to express the true character of the vineyard.Listing description We are offering a harvest cellar internship for the 2024 harvest (Mid July through November). This position is ideal for someone who wants practice in the production of critically acclaimed, site-specific wines and has a availability to learn. Job responsibilities: • Work with the cellar team in preparing for harvest (vineyard sampling, lab analysis, etc). • Cleaning and sanitization of winery equipment (tanks, hoses, press, pumps, crush equipment, etc). • Fruit processing, sorting and machinery setup. • Fermentation monitoring, sampling and nutrient additions. • Pump-overs, punch-downs, pomace removal, pressing, barrel cleaning, barrel painting and filling. Qualifications/Requirements: • Must be punctual. • capability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly • Flexible to work varying hours, including overtime and weekend work (typically 6 days a week once we start picking fruit). • Able to work well in a fast paced, physically demanding, team environment. • Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation. • Able to follow written and oral instruction. • Previous industry practice or a wine related degree is desired but not necessary. • Able to communicate clearly and work well with a team. -prosperous candidates will have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude and be highly dependable. -Forklift training will be provided.
