Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) LPI Student Administrative adjunct for the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University (OSU).

The Linus Pauling Institute (LPI) seeks a Student Administrative adjunct who will be responsible for administrative tasks as part of the LPI front office admin team. This is a part-time position with weekly hours generally ranging from 10-20 between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. We are pursuing someone who can begin work by July 1 or sooner. Work hours will vary located on student availcapability and LPI needs from term to term and may also adjust more frequently.

Position tasks
   » Be a first point of contact for all visitors to the LPI reception area and uphold high standards of customer service.
   » Help create an inclusive, welcoming, and professional environment for all who enter the LPI reception area.
   » Perform all main reception operations including answering phones, email, and handling visitors' queries and questions.
   » Assist with meeting room reservations and management of meeting room calendars.
   » Draft correspondence, input and organize data in spreadsheets, and organize electronic and hard-copy files.
   » Process and sort mail and packages.
   » Monitor office supply needs and maintain office supply area.
   » Support the Director, Administrative Coordinator, and Communications Manager in completing administrative and special projects that support the mission of the LPI. This could include occasional assistance with social media.
   » Assist with set-up and support for LPI events and meetings.
   » Maintain orderly and clean appearance of the administrative office and LPI meeting rooms.
   » Professionally represent the LPI in all interactions with stakeholders in the course of everyday work.
   » Other tasks as assigned.

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
