C-14-24 Procurement adjunct (Part-time):Georgia Public BroadcastingJob description: C-14-24 Procurement adjunct (Part-time) Listing description Georgia Public Broadcasting's (GPB) is hiring a Procurement adjunct that will serve as an additional requisition and purchase order approver and help maintain supplier contract records and folders, participate in new supplier selection for agency contracts, and purchasing agreements ensuring materials and products meet the company's specifications (SOWs). The Procurement adjunct will be responsible for procurement tasks and other tasks as assigned and provide support as a liaison between the Finance and other departments. The Procurement adjunct will report to the Procurement agent. GPB is a statewide dual licensee comprised of 9 PBS television stations and 20 NPR radio stations that broadcast across the state of Georgia. Candidate Appropriate qualifications: • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field is preferred. • Six months of work practice in a business-related field; • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and practice which provides the requisite knowledge, expertise, and abilities for this job. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. • Must be detail oriented with excellent communication, organizational and customer service expertise. • practice and training in State of Georgia Procurement and purchasing practices; knowledge of procurement; and procurement processes. • practice and training in State of Georgia TeamWorks financial system practice, specifically practice in modules for Requisition and Purchase Order creation and approval, preferred. • State or national certification preferred but not required (CPPO, CPPB, GCPA, etc.). Job Responsibilities Include: • Responsible for procurement tasks and other tasks as assigned. • Provide support as a liaison between the Finance and other departments. • Assist in all matters related to the procurement bid •- Ensure that all necessary documents are completed for p-card holders • Assist with the compilation of data and documents to maintain purchase orders, vendor contracts, vendor bids, and vendor mailing lists. • Establish and/or maintain a records retention and disposal system • Develop an consciousness and knowledge of agency Procurement Manuals, FTA Circulars related to procurement practices, and other state and federal laws, and state purchasing rules and regulations. • Assist customers with information related to purchasing and business services as needed via incoming calls, e-mail, or direct contact • Create/approve Requisitions and Purchase Orders • P-Card administration - assisting all card holders with any questions and/or card issues and training • Performs additional or related tasks as assigned or required.
