Join our dynamic team at Campus Recreation and Wellness (CRW) as a Fitness Attendant! CRW is dedicated to enhancing the recreation and wellness lifestyles of the ECU community through structured, self-directed, and educationally oriented programs. We aim to foster responsible citizenship, provide leadership abilities practices, and promote lifelong expertise for physical, social, emotional, and mental well-being. Supporting the Division of Student Affairs' commitment to purposeful well-being. Responsibilities (include but not limited to): » Provide a world-class member practice with exercise education, equipment orientations, answering member questions, and managing emergencies » Maintain and clean fitness equipment according to standards and protocols » Utilize necessary software applications for facility operations » Apply risk management strategies to protect everyone and minimize licapability » Identify and report potential hazards to ensure a safe environment » Enhance your expertise through professional development and training » Use effective communication techniques with members and guests » Adapt to various personality styles and backgrounds when assisting members » Incorporate feedback to improve professionalism and future practices » Apply exercise science expertise to assist members during workouts » Perform other tasks as assigned Preferred (Majors, practice, GPA, etc.) Appropriate qualifications: » Must be a currently enrolled ECU student in good academic standing » Excellent communication expertise » expertise of fitness equipment and safety standards » capability to work independently and as part of a team for a minimum of 6 hours per week » Must be CPR/First Aid/AED certified or able to obtain certification within 60 days of hire » Flexible work availcapability, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and ECU sanctioned breaks » Demonstrated capability to manage and lift a minimum of 60 pounds.
