House of Smith is currently looking for an Events Manager to supervise and organize private, public and internal winery events in addition to private client practices. This is an opportunity to work with high end clients, creating stunning events for a premier Washington State brand.
Our Events Manager will partner with the Production team, Wine Club and Tasting Room Managers to plan and supervise onsite and offsite events that promote community engagement. this function requires exceptional customer service, attention to detail, leadership abilities and strong interpersonal communication expertise all over the event planning process. The Events Manager interfaces with vendors, creates and executes contracts, establishes timelines for events, completes invoicing and input of payments. The position requires strong software expertise and practice in events planning software.

Travel Requirement: Occasional trips to Walla Walla, WA

Listing description
•  Management of the event planning timeline
•  Issue and review all event contracts and deposits as required
•  Prompt responses to client questions via email, phone calls, or in person meetings
•  Schedule in person or phone meetings with clients to manage event details and communicate changes or updates in a timely manner
•  Manage, update and keep event dates current on the calendar
•  Coordinates with Tasting Room Manager to properly staff on-site events, arranges additional support staff or vendors as required
•  Coordinate logistics of each event and manages vendors participating in onsite & offsite events
•  Communicates weekly with vendors and management to address upcoming event details
•  Create promotional flyers, emails and social media to support winery hosted events as applicable
•  Review winery event registration to ensure attendee goals are achieved while meeting capacity levels.
•  Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants and resolutions of any difficulties that arise
•  Analyze expenditures to stay within budget
•  Provide post-event written recaps identifying areas of opportunity
•  supervise the refund of deposits and final statements for all events, in partnership with operations team

Credentials
•  Exceptional customer service standards
•  capability to problem solve and communicate under pressure
•  capability to work independently and as part of a team
•  Capcapability to self-manager and allocate resources to meet or exceed goals.
•  capability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people in a friendly and informed manner, including public speaking and winery hosted tours (small and large)
•  Professional appearance (dress code according to company handbook), upbeat demeanor and positive nature
•  capability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities with attention to detail
•  Effectively present ideas, summaries and results
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word, Excel)
•  practice with booking platform and graphic design software required (Triple Seat, All Seated, Canva, PowerPoint)
•  practiced user of POS platform, preferably C7
•  21 years or older
•  3-5 years corporate event planning practice
•  Preferred wine industry practice
•  Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
•  availability to travel

Compensation:
